SPECTRA CE EU Researchers Participated in MIPRO 2026 in Croatia

Nataliia Yehorchenkova and Oleksii Yehorchenkov, researchers of SPECTRA Centre of Excellence, participated in MIPRO 2026 in Opatija, Croatia, within the Project Management conference track organised in cooperation with PMI Croatia Chapter.
During the conference, they presented their paper titled “EU Urban Transformation & Project Management: Policy Architecture, Digital Enablers and Portfolio Governance for Mission-Oriented Cities.” The presentation focused on the evolving EU policy architecture for urban transformation, the role of digital enablers and interoperability, and the importance of project, programme and portfolio governance for mission-oriented cities.
The conference also created an important space for professional networking and future cooperation. Nataliia Yehorchenkova and Oleksii Yehorchenkov had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with representatives of the Croatian project management community, including Gordan Krčelić, President of PMI Croatia Chapter, and Darko Jureković, Oracle Academy Program Manager, as well as with colleagues and partners from academia and practice.
Special attention was given to discussions on possible joint events, future cooperation, and ideas for supporting Ukrainians and Ukraine through professional networks, knowledge exchange and project management initiatives. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the MIPRO community provided an excellent environment for developing new contacts and strengthening international cooperation.
Participation in MIPRO 2026 contributed to the dissemination of SPECTRA’s research activities in the fields of urban transformation, project management, smart cities, digitalisation and sustainable development, and opened new opportunities for cooperation with Croatian and international partners.
The presented research was linked to ongoing activities supported by the project STICS.
